Comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont have announced their divorce after nine years of marriage. The couple made the announcement in a joint statement on Instagram on January 16, 2023.
"It is with great sadness that we announce that we have decided to divorce after nine years of marriage," the statement read. "We have come to this decision amicably and with a great deal of thought and consideration."
The couple met in 2011 while working on the BBC comedy show "Live at the Apollo." They married in 2013 and have been performing together regularly since then.
In addition to their successful careers in comedy, Richardson and Beaumont are also known for their work in acting. Richardson has appeared in several British television shows and films, including "8 Out of 10 Cats" and "Taskmaster." Beaumont has starred in the BBC sitcom "Hull and Back" and the Channel 4 comedy-drama "Back to Life."
The couple has not yet released any further details about their divorce.
